Job Title: Talent Development Clerk Wage/Hour Status: 17.75-24.50/per hour

Reports to: Talent Development - Directors Pay Grade: Clerical 4

Dept. /School: Talent Development Days: 226

Supervises: N/A
Primary Purpose: The Talent Development Clerk will support the Talent Development team in various administrative and clerical tasks. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of talent development programs, including coordination, documentation, and communication efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment in the areas of pipeline and professional learning.
Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Texas Drivers License Preferred Qualifications
    • Minimum of three to five years of secretarial or clerical experience.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Proficient in Google Workspace (Drive, Gmail, Sheets)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly. Special Knowledge Skills:
      • Strong organizational skills and working knowledge of database management
      • Ability to analyze large data sets and translate the findings into actionable next steps
      • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, school leaders, and other partners
      • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
      • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify challenges and actively work to find solutions
      • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality Major Responsibilities and Duties:
        • Keep the Directors informed.
        • Provide administrative support to the Talent Development team, including scheduling meetings and handling correspondence.
        • Assist in the coordination and execution of talent development programs, workshops, training sessions, and major professional learning events.
        • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee development activities, including attendance, evaluations, and certifications.
        • Prepare and distribute communications related to talent development initiatives.
        • Manage and organize files, both physical and electronic, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
        • Handle general office tasks such as data entry, filing, copying, and preparing/organizing supplies.
        • Support the onboarding process by preparing materials and coordinating orientation sessions.
        • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to talent development.
        • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Talent Development team. Supervisory Responsibilities:
          • None Working Conditions:
            • Computer, software programs, instructional materials, and equipment: Copier, scanner, and other equipment applicable to position
            • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
            • Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions and deadlines; frequent walking, standing, pushing, and moving; occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds; frequent driving within the district.
