Job Description Job Description About the role: EnerVest is
looking for a Workover Rig Operator to support well servicing and
plugging & abandonment (P&A) operations in the Sonora, Texas
area. Responsibilities Operate rig controls and related equipment
safely and efficiently during all phases of operations Installation
of production equipment, tubing, casing, and related components
Perform well servicing and abandonment activities, including
equipment changes, pulling tubing/casing, and setting plugs
Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records, and complete
required documentation Participate in safety meetings and follow
established procedures, including reporting spills and incidents
Operate company vehicles and equipment as qualified Utilize tools
and equipment (e.g., cutting, welding, power tools) as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school
diploma or equivalent Must possess valid driver’s license with good
driving record Ability to use computer with sufficient proficiency
to view/enter reports, emails, etc Additional Preferred
Qualifications Prior workover rig, well servicing or P&A
operations experience CDL (Class A or B). Must be able to obtain
CDL if EnerVest requests Safeland/PEC, Well Control, H2S, CPR/First
Aid, Forklift/Manlift or other applicable certifications Working
Conditions and Requirements Primarily outdoor field work. Office
work environment less than 10% Regular exposure to heat, cold,
noise, dust, chemicals, fumes, uneven surfaces, and normally
occurring radioactive material (NORM) Regular exposure to
controlled explosive devices used for perforating and high pressure
present in live oil and gas wells Ability to work in a fast-paced
environment Strong mechanical aptitude Basic problem-solving and
communication skills. Ability to work as part of a team with a
focus on safety May require travel outside of the Sonora area as
needed by company Ability to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and
work at height. Manual dexterity, grip strength, and depth
perception required for safe equipment operation Ability to perform
physical labor, including but not limited to lifting up to 75lbs,
climbing ladders, working at heights, and standing for long
periods
