Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Mechanic DEPARTMENT: Midland Yard
POSITION BRIEF: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company
trucks, trailers, loaders and other equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Servicing and repairing yard trucks, equipment, and
trailers.Problem solving / Troubleshooting.Tire management and
inventory.Maintain maintenance and repair records.Communicate with
operators and office.Complete paperwork as required.Maintain
tracking system for consumables.Basic computer skills.
QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to operate
a computer and maintain supply tracking for parts/supplies.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems Knowledge of Diesel motors
Experience with flatbed trailers / air brakes Adequate welding
skills to operate welding machines and torches a plus but not
required. Self-starter Able to work independently or with help.
