Work one on one and as part of a team with kids or adults with mental illness, developmental disabilities, HIV or substance abuse diagnoses, assist from behind the scenes in any one of our administrative departments, or provide necessary support for the direct care staff. Be an asset to your community while getting paid for it!In collaboration with ECISD, the Youth Mental Health Case Manager provides intensiveskills training, crisis intervention and prevention, and community supportservices to students, and families of clients. Observes students in a variety ofsituations for background information. Provide service coordination and skillstraining to children and families. Assists children and families to access medical, social, educational andother appropriate services that will help the child achieve a quality of lifeand level of community participation acceptable to the family. Provides crisis prevention and managementservices to include location and coordinating services and supports to preventor manage a crisis. Provides serviceplanning and coordination to include identifying, arranging, advocating, collaboratingwith other agencies, and linking for the delivery of outcome-focused servicesand supports that address the individual's needs and desires as indicated bythe family.Education Required: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistance, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education or early childhood intervention or a bachelor's degree with at least 30 hours of coursework in the previous fields.Experience Required: One year experience working with youth withsevere emotional disturbance in an inpatient, outpatient, residential, orschool setting.Position Requirements: Valid Driver's License, proof of auto insurance, and insurable through PermiaCare. Required to pass criminal history and background checks as well as pre-employment drug screen.Full Time/Part Time: Full-time positionSalary: $20.65 per hour. Sign on bonus may be available.
