As a Senior Environmental Project Manager - Emergency Response focus working in our Midland, Texas office you will have the opportunity to lead a variety of air, soil, emergency response, and groundwater assessment and remediation compliance projects. This position is an integral part of our environmental services group and requires a diverse array of planning and implementation responsibilities in order to accomplish the objectives of the team. You will need to be flexible in your approach to challenges, and have a strong ability to think laterally in delivering technical project solutions. The successful candidate will have interest in: Implement investigation, remediation and reporting of environmental projects with a strong focus in Emergency Response and subsurface investigations Plan and implement environmental field work such as monitoring well installation, groundwater monitoring and due diligence assessments Prepare routine correspondence, data reports, standardized documents and work plans for internal and client review Interpretation and implementation of environmental regulations, including RCRA and CERCLA Coordination of small- to large-scale projects including maintenance of project schedules, budgets and coordination of project staff Oversight of contractors and field staff The ideal candidate will have: BS in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or related field 8 years of previous experience responding to spill related events including the implementation, investigation, remediation and monitoring of environmental projects Ability to perform field work and travel 60% of the time Working knowledge of spill rules per state jurisdiction is a plus Experience in spill response, management, assessment, and cleanup. Previous Railroad and/or Oil & Gas spill response experience is required Experienced in air monitoring, ICS, environmental assessment/sampling, SCAT Basic knowledge of industrial hygiene practices and air monitoring equipment is desirable Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook OHSA 40-hour HAZWOPER training considered an asset Ability to effectively communicate with other technical professionals, clients, and regulatory officials is a requirement Strong problem solving abilities and aptitude Ability to present technical information, both written and orally, in a concise and professional manner Self-starter, flexible teammate, willingness/ability to work on a wide range or tasks, can take direction and work well independently This is a lifetime opportunity for individuals who are driven, passionate and looking to be challenged in their leadership and career development.
