The Pathway Designation recognizes top healthcare organizations in the nation for achieving nursing excellence.Shift and ScheduleFull Time: 8:00am-5:00pm and every other weekendPosition Summary

• Complete a comprehensive assessment. This includes the initial and ongoing, extensive collection, analysis and interpretation of data
• Synthesize the data collected during the comprehensive assessment to identify problems, make nursing diagnoses, and to formulate goals, teaching plans and outcomes.
• Implement the plan of care. The RN may begin, deliver, assign or delegate certain interventions within the plan of care for patients within legal, ethical, and regulatory parameters and in consideration of health restoration, disease prevention, wellness, and promotion of healthy lifestyles.
• Evaluate and report patient outcomes and responses to therapeutic interventions in comparison to benchmarks from evidence-based practice and research findings, and plans any follow-up care and referrals to appropriate resources that may be needed.
• Demonstrates positive effective communication, including education with patients and families, physicians and other healthcare team members, and professional communications skills.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using the electronic medical record providing accurate, timely and complete documentation of plan of care and assessments and respect of patient's rights and confidentiality.
• Provide a safe environment for patients, families and co-workers, including hand washing, and adherence to infection control policies.
• Demonstrate professionalism including current AED's and other competencies, following dress code policies, participation in orientation of new team members.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • An associate's degree (ADN) or diploma in nursing is required.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is preferred.
  • Current State of Texas License as a Registered Nurse
  • Ability to read the patient's medical record
  • Ability to calculate medication dosages and convert weights and measures for clinical application.
