Operating Room/Ambulatory Care/MedSurg opening in Odessa, Texas. Provenir Healthcare is currently looking for a Medical-Surgical Nurse. Position offers $5,000 sign-on bonus for experienced nurses! Great incentives for new graduates also! Job Duties --Performs complete and accurate nursing assessment on assigned patients. --Completes Valuables form at time of admission. Identifies changes in patient condition and reports to the physician and/or Supervisor unit/primary nurse for patient. --Reports assessment and care details to primary nurse/unit supervisor before admitting next patient. --Priorities of care are established and based on presenting medical history, past medical history, nursing observations and assessments. License/Certification License to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas BLS Certification Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Preferred: Completion of or actively pursuing a BSN degree. Here is the scheduling for most of our nurses (OR is not included in this): Usually they work a rotation of a 2 week pattern that goes mon, tues, fri, sat, sun, wed, thurs. and repeats every 2 weeks. The shifts on the stroke unit are 12 hours. 7-7 and there is a requirement to work every other weekend
