Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Midland,
Texas, 79701! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours
per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery
License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP,
NIHSS Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience Experience with Cerner
charting system preferred Description: January start date
preferred. Will consider a minimum of 13 weeks. Registered Nurse
will rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, and
transition. No postpartum care will be provided in this role.
Patient ratio experience required. Experience with administration
of blood and blood products, antepartum care, and
antihypertensives. Knowledge of APGAR scores, assistance with
high-risk delivery, and sterile speculum exams is necessary.
Competence in performing vaginal deliveries, supporting
breastfeeding, and circulating for C-sections is essential.
Experience with drawing venous blood, administering epidural
anesthesia, and managing Foley catheter insertion is expected.
Ability to assess and manage pain, including the use of Pitocin,
magnesium sulfate therapy, and insulin drips is required.
Experience in recognizing and treating abnormal fetal heart rate
patterns and managing postpartum hemorrhage is important.
Familiarity with telemonitoring and use of electronic fetal
monitoring is needed. Must be capable of triaging obstetrical
patients and using IUPC placement and calibration. Compliance with
isolation precautions and use of personal protective equipment is
required. Job involves working with neonates, infants, and adults.
Daily patient census is fluctuating with approximately 20 visits
per day. Unit accommodates a daily average of 200-300 facility
births. Candidate must be able to work some holidays. An on-site
drug screen will be conducted prior to starting the assignment. 5
