to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Midland, Texas, 79701! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and
Delivery Duration: 16 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours
Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active RN license
required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, NIHSS required Must-Have:
Previous charge experience required Description: Consideration will
be given for a minimum of 13 weeks. This role requires the RN to
rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, and
transition. Post-partum care is not included in this position. The
nurse must have experience administering blood and blood products.
Skills needed include performing antepartum care and managing
high-risk deliveries. The role involves assisting with sterile
speculum exams and vaginal deliveries. Breastfeeding support and
lactation support are part of the responsibilities. The RN will
also be expected to circulate during cesarean sections. Knowledge
of foley catheter insertion and management is needed. The nurse
will have to assess and manage pain effectively. The use of
external fetal monitoring and infusion pumps is required. The
position includes working with neonates, infants, and adults. The
daily census can fluctuate, with a typical number of visits being
around 20. Patient ratios will be maintained as per unit policy.
Candidates may be required to work on holidays. A drug screen will
