Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Midland, Texas,

12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN license
required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, NIHSS required; AWHONN
Advanced and Intermediate preferred Must-Have: Previous charge
experience required Experience with Cerner charting system
preferred Description: Responsible for providing high-quality
nursing care in the Labor and Delivery unit. Will rotate through
triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, and transition. No postpartum
care will be provided. Demonstrates proficiency in administering
medications and monitoring patients. Capable of assisting with
high-risk deliveries and performing sterile exams. Supports
breastfeeding and lactation needs of new mothers. Assists in
cesarean deliveries and circulates during surgical procedures.
Monitors and assesses patients' conditions using fetal heart
monitoring. Administers IV medications, including magnesium sulfate
and Pitocin. Conducts non-stress tests and ensures proper infant
identification. Recognizes and treats abnormal fetal heart rate
patterns effectively. Maintains a safe and sterile environment in
the Labor and Delivery unit. Follows isolation precautions and
utilizes personal protective equipment. Utilizes strong
communication skills to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
Cares for neonates, infants, and adult patients within the unit.
Supports families during labor and delivery processes. Ensures
