Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare services, is looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. This position involves working both in our high-quality inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and providing care in patient home settings through our comprehensive home health network. The ideal candidate will assist in providing therapeutic interventions and treatments as directed by a registered occupational therapist, helping patients achieve their maximum level of independence and recovery. Assist in the implementation of occupational therapy services under the guidance of a registered occupational therapist. Document patient progress and report outcomes to the supervising therapist. Help patients develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities by implementing programs involving manual skills, therapeutic exercises, and use of assistive technologies. Ensure the treatment area is safe and equipped with needed supplies and equipment. Educate patients and families about treatment plans and maintenance exercises. Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Strong organizational and observational skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) CPR certified
