Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in facility-based and home-based patient care, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role involves assisting registered occupational therapists in providing industry-leading rehabilitation services in our inpatient facilities and through our extensive home health network. The ideal candidate will support patient care delivery by helping patients perform exercises and activities prescribed in their treatment plans, maintaining treatment areas, and documenting therapeutic activities and patient responses. Assist Occupational Therapists in the execution of patient rehabilitation plans Aid patients in performing specific exercises and activities outlined in their treatment plans Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas Record patient progress and feedback while adhering to compliance standards Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members Support multiple therapists in various settings as required Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe therapy environment for all patients Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask Detail-oriented with strong observational skills Basic knowledge of therapy and medical terminology Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain strict protocols Compassion and patience for working with patients with varying health conditions Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure required
