Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our skilled team of healthcare professionals. As an OTA at Encompass Health, you will work in a dynamic environment across our diverse care settings, including inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health agencies. Our OTAs play a crucial role in providing therapy under the direction of an occupational therapist, helping patients regain, develop, and build skills that are important for independent functioning, health, and well-being. Assist in the evaluation of patients and the implementation of treatment plans established by the licensed occupational therapist. Help patients develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. Document patient progress and collaborate with occupational therapists to modify treatment plans as needed. Educate patients and families about home programs and discharge planning. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Support therapists in assessing the effectiveness of treatments and adapting to patients' needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle physical workload Detail-oriented with an aptitude for problem-solving Committed to the principles of ethical occupational therapy practice Basic knowledge of healthcare safety standards and procedures Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant Licensed to practice in the state of employment
