Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare services, is seeking a dedicated Wound Care Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical in our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, where we strive to deliver the highest quality of care to patients with complex wound care needs. The Wound Care Coordinator will oversee all aspects of wound care management, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring of patient wounds, as well as providing leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure excellence in patient care. Assess patient wound care needs and develop individualized care plans Implement and monitor wound care protocols and patient progress Train and support nursing staff on latest wound care techniques and standards Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as organizational policies regarding wound care treatment Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance quality of care Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on wound care services and outcomes Expertise in wound care management and treatment options Strong leadership and training abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health team Proficient in using healthcare information systems and software Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) or equivalent certification
