Job Description:
Encompass Health is looking for a dedicated Culinary Cook to
join our healthcare team. In this role, you will have the unique
opportunity to impact our patients' health and recovery by
providing high-quality nutritional support tailored to their
medical needs. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong
understanding of therapeutic diets, be passionate about food
service in a healthcare environment, and adept at maintaining the
highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. Prepare
meals according to prescribed medical nutrition therapy while
adhering to dietary restrictions specified in patient care plans.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to tailor diets to
patient needs and promote recovery. Monitor kitchen operations to
ensure compliance with health and hygiene standards. Maintain
inventory and order kitchen supplies as needed. Participate in
regular training sessions to stay updated on new dietary trends and
kitchen techniques relevant to healthcare. Proficiency in a variety
of cooking techniques and equipment Strong understanding of
nutrition and dietary need adaptations Excellent organizational and
time management skills Ability to work effectively in a
high-pressure environment Strong communication and interpersonal
skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k
ServSafe Food Handler certification required; additional
certification in dietary services a plus.
