Job Description:
As a Nutrition Assistant at Encompass Health, you will be an
integral part of our dedicated healthcare team, focusing on
providing top-notch nutritional support across our facilities. You
will assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of meals to
patients, ensuring dietary needs are met according to the
individual care plans developed by our nutritionists and
physicians. This position requires a detail-oriented approach to
effectively manage dietary services and uphold our commitment to
enhancing patient recovery and overall health. Assist in the
preparation and delivery of meals to patients according to
specified dietary requirements. Monitor patient food intake and
report progress and dietary concerns to the nutritionist or
healthcare provider. Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions
in the preparation and delivery areas. Participate in inventory
control and ensure the availability of necessary food supplies.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to discuss dietary treatments and
patient care plans. Knowledge of basic nutrition and dietary needs.
Ability to follow hygiene and sanitation regulations. Competence in
managing dietary services in a healthcare setting. Strong
communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computing and data
entry skills for managing dietary records. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or
similar certification is advantageous.
