required areas, including EKG course completion Description: We are
seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse for an ICU position.
Positions are available for full-time schedules of either 36 or 48
hours per week. Immediate availability is preferred. Applicants
must have current ACLS, BLS, and either TNCC or TCAR
certifications. Candidates should have completed NIHSS training and
possess a total of 6 hours of stroke education, which can be
provided if needed. A willingness to float to Medical/Surgical and
Telemetry units, as well as the Emergency Room for Critical Care
holds, is required. Experience with charting systems is mandatory;
preferred experience includes Cerner. Candidates with experience in
Trauma Level II settings are preferred. Ideal applicants will have
specific skills in neuro and surgical intensive care, as well as
management of complex cardiac patients. Duties include patient
assessment, monitoring, and the implementation of care plans in a
high-acuity environment. The patient ratio and specific duties will
vary; evening and weekend coverage is expected. Additional
interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory
services, and pharmacy. Patients may include adolescents, adults,
and geriatrics with a daily census averaging 15. The unit is
equipped with specialized equipment and procedures to care for
patients with varying diagnoses. Strong clinical judgment and
effective communication skills are essential for this role. 5
