Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Odessa, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,690 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/21/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Odessa, Texas, 79761! Job Title: Critical Care Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC or TCAR, NIHSS Must-Have: - Willingness to float to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units, as well as Emergency Room for Critical Care holds - Certification in required areas, including EKG course completion Description: We are seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse for an ICU position. Positions are available for full-time schedules of either 36 or 48 hours per week. Immediate availability is preferred. Applicants must have current ACLS, BLS, and either TNCC or TCAR certifications. Candidates should have completed NIHSS training and possess a total of 6 hours of stroke education, which can be provided if needed. A willingness to float to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units, as well as the Emergency Room for Critical Care holds, is required. Experience with charting systems is mandatory; preferred experience includes Cerner. Candidates with experience in Trauma Level II settings are preferred. Ideal applicants will have specific skills in neuro and surgical intensive care, as well as management of complex cardiac patients. Duties include patient assessment, monitoring, and the implementation of care plans in a high-acuity environment. The patient ratio and specific duties will vary; evening and weekend coverage is expected. Additional interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Patients may include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with a daily census averaging 15. The unit is equipped with specialized equipment and procedures to care for patients with varying diagnoses.
