The successful candidate will play a crucial role in preparing meals that not only nourish but also comfort our patients across our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health settings. This position demands adherence to health and safety standards to provide top-notch meals that support health and recovery in a compassionate, safe environment. Prepare meals according to prescribed patient diets and menu plans. Ensure sanitary cooking conditions and appropriate food handling procedures. Monitor inventory and order kitchen supplies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to tailor diets to patient needs. Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks as necessary. Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations concerning food preparation and safety. Proficiency in large scale meal preparation and kitchen equipment. Strong understanding of nutrition and dietary needs. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of sanitation regulations and safety measures. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ServSafe Food Handler certification required. Any additional culinary certifications are a plus.
