Working in our state-of-the-art kitchens, the cook will prepare meals that not only satisfy the taste buds but also adhere to the dietary and nutritional needs of our patients, ensuring their recovery and well-being are supported by their dietary intake. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standard of care Encompass Health is known for across 42 states. Prepare meals following prescribed recipes and dietary guidelines. Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations. Ensure timely preparation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals. Manage kitchen inventory and coordinate with suppliers to ensure fresh supply. Monitor kitchen equipment and report any malfunctions for timely repair. Collaborate with healthcare staff to customize patient diets as needed. Proficient in food preparation and kitchen maintenance. Understanding of nutritional guidelines and dietary restrictions. Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Strong organization and time management skills. Excellent communication and team cooperation skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred. Culinary training or certifications are considered a plus.
