Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Nutrition Service Aide to join our healthcare team, providing high-quality food service within our integrated healthcare services. This role focuses on supporting our mission to deliver cost-effective care and ensure patient satisfaction in the dietary management across our various facilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with dieticians and healthcare providers to prepare and deliver meals according to specific dietary needs, ensuring compliance with health standards and enhancing patient recovery and health. Prepare meals and dietary supplements according to prescribed diets from healthcare providers. Deliver meals to patients, ensuring food safety and hygiene protocols are strictly followed. Collaborate with dieticians and healthcare staff to understand patient dietary needs and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas to meet health regulations. Monitor inventory and report needed supplies. Participate in training and educational workshops to improve job performance and knowledge of nutritional standards. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations Ability to follow recipes and dietary instructions Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills for entering patient data Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred Training in dietary education a plus
