Encompass Health is seeking an experienced and compassionate Hospital Cook to join our dedicated kitchen team. In this role, you will be crucial in preparing nutritious and appetizing meals consistent with health standards for our patients recovering at our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in a healthcare setting and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Prepare daily meals for patients according to dietary guidelines and health standards. Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times. Monitor stock and place orders for food supplies and kitchen equipment when necessary. Work closely with healthcare staff to tailor diets and meals to the specific needs of patients. Ensure all kitchens, cooking utensils, and food preparation areas are maintained and clean. Strong cooking and baking skills Knowledge of health and safety regulations Ability to follow strict dietary guidelines Excellent time management and organizational skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred Any state-specific food handler certification required
