Provide testing, repairs, and routine servicing on equipment in the
shop and the field. In addition, help generate business to increase
revenues through sales of Weatherford products and services.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Read and understand electrical drawings.
* Knowledge and operation of a multi-meter for voltage, current and
resistance measurement.
* Configure simple (RTU/PLC) devices to interface with a broad of
devices, both analog and digital for monitoring and controls.
* Diagnose and trouble shoot electro/pneumatic systems.
* Plan, permit, and schedule the installation of projects.
* Execute installation, documentation and maintenance of
projects.
* Perform calibration on devices such as levels, pressures,
temperatures and flow measurement.
* Determine the proper measurement device according to the
application and process conditions.
* Understand wireless communication, design and interfacing with
pre-existing network infrastructure.
* Provide insight and direction based on experience to make
improvements, repairs or amendments to new and existing systems for
the control, monitoring, emergency/safety shut-down.
* Must use computer proficiency to interface and configure a wide
variety of third party electronic devices.
* Solve technical problems without external guidance or
support.
* Solve advanced technical problems without external guidance or
support under tight deadlines.
* Able to work alone, in remote locations with little to no
supervision or assistance.
* Represent as a field contact for the customer, interacts with the
customer with integrity, and with a professional appearance and
attitude - develop and maintain customer relations.
* Know and understand Weatherford's Quality Policy and comply with
all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and
Technical.
* Must understand and comply with all Weatherford policies and
safety rules.
* Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
* Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by
supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
* Commitment to work hours required to complete projects
on-time.
* Requires 10% travel.
* 1+ years related Automation experience
* Broad knowledge of ALS equipment, processes and services
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Self-motivator, self-starter
* Must have the ability to work well around others in close
quarters
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Basic Computer Skills
* Oil Field related experience
* The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency
situations
* Valid Driver's License
