Job Description:
Summary: The faculty member will be responsible for teaching
registered nursing content in the classroom, campus
skills/simulation labs, and in clinical settings. Active
participation in program development, implementation and evaluation
is expected. Required Qualifications Master of Science in Nursing
(M.S.N.). Applicants holding a Masters degree in a discipline other
than nursing shall hold a Bachelors degree in nursing from an
accredited baccalaureate program in nursing and have at least six
semester hours of graduate level content in nursing appropriate to
the area or teaching responsibility Must have or be able to obtain
an unencumbered license to practice professional nursing
(Registered Nurse RN) in the State of Texas Must have been actively
employed in nursing for the past three years or have advanced
preparation in nursing, nursing education, and/or nursing
administration Proficient in the English language Excellent written
and verbal communication skills Computer literate including
knowledge of Microsoft Office software Experience in nursing
commensurate with department need and teaching assignment Knowledge
of equipment appropriate to the field of nursing
