Corrpro has construction installation services, including crews and equipment to install cathodic protection systems.--For more information, visit www.corrpro.com.Corrpro is seeking an energetic Corrosion Technologist to be responsible for planning and performing testing and field surveys for corrosion and corrosion protection systems, evaluation of test results and installation of cathodic protection systems on various structures. Primary Job Accountabilities:* Conduct field surveys to gather data for evaluation of corrosion and corrosion control.* Execute pipeline and tank integrity testing.* Perform testing of corrosion prevention systems including cathodic protection, protective coatings, AC/DC interference and corrosion monitoring.* Gather structure-to-soil potential data, soil measurements and rectifier data.* Diagnose and develop recommended remedies for system difficulties observed during resurvey operations.* Write survey reports for review by an engineer.* Sketch rectifiers, anodes, test stations, and other design features on prepared drawings.* Sketch physical features of installation site for subsequent addition of detail.* Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts and tables.* Assemble and analyze data for preparation of final client report including recommendations.* Prepare survey reports and final job reports for review.* Supervise Field Technicians.Additional Responsibilities* Assist manager in appraising employee performance and related matters* Act as direct interface with customer when required* Assist in cost estimation and detailed proposal development* Correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with customers* Represent Corrpro in a professional manner, with a high degree of respect for all existing and potential customers* Other duties as assignedEducation and Experience Required. For the successful performance of this position, an individual must be able to achieve and/or perform the essential duties of the position. * NACE CP3 or CIP Level 2 or working towards it. * Minimum of 7 years professional experience. * Corrosion Control experience is required. * Must have strong project management and problem-solving skills. * Strong team and internal customer service skills are a must. * Incumbent must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. * Aility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.* Must have valid Driver's License. Other Skills and Abilities* Position requires individual to have strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and empower, to be a strong communicator able to take initiative and function independently.--Must be capable of making people management decisions and comfortable in a management position.* Ability to work with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.--Ability to learn new applications quickly. Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point) required.Physical Demands / Work Environment: * Frequent standing and walking required throughout the day.--Occasional climbing may be required.--Frequent driving is required. Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting required.--Frequent computer-related activities, such as typing and viewing a computer monitor are required.--Required to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.--Willing to work overtime as required.
