Job Description:

Headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, Navitas is a privately-held company formed in 2014 by an experienced management team in conjunction with Warburg Pincus, a global private equity firm. Since its entry into the Midland Basin, Navitas has experienced rapid growth.

The I&E Supervisor position will have responsibility for overseeing, supporting and supervising the I&E Team of Technicians in their daily plant and field activities. The I&E Supervisor will ensure that PSM, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, routine and non-routine works are accurately and efficiently completed within specified time frames.Routine work will include perfomring repairs on equipment (motors, starters, generators, and exciters), testing and repairing switchboards, installing new cables, wiring and electrical fixtures and inspecting electrical equipment at frequent intervals. This position will work in both a plant and a field environment.


  • Provide day-to-day management and oversight to I&E Team, working closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure overall goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure facilities establish and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance programs and that best practices are being implemented, followed and consistently improved, as needed.
  • Ensure maintenance and PSM records are up-to-date and accurate in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Instrumentation and Electrical needs, providing support and guidance to Technicians, specifically with control systems, complex equipment associated with turbines, generators, dehydration, control & pump stations and gas chromotography.
  • Attend safety meetings, and ensure others are consistently adhering to safety practices. Ensure safety policies are up-to-date for I&E related items.
  • Train and develop maintenance personnel in safe and proper job procedures
  • Ability to input and retrieve data in maintenance software (i.e. Asset Essentials, Maximo, EMaintenance, SAP or equivalent)
  • Actively participates in PSM efforts.
  • Runs conduit, pulls wire, change motors and maintains lighting systems and basic motor controls.
  • Maintain advanced monitoring devices (gas, flame, or fire detectors, vibration and temperature monitors).
  • Read electrical diagrams and other complex electrical drawings; interprets and updates plant electrical diagrams.
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain end devices, alarms, shutdown systems, process controls, substation and branch feeders, variable frequency drives, air/fuel controllers, panel boards, etc.
  • Calibrate, maintain and repair analog and digital equipment data acquisition units, and pneumatic and hydraulic control and indicating devices.
  • Analyze performance of equipment and participate in the automation of facilities. Perform preventative and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment and parts associated with this equipment.
  • Perform maintenance of DCS, including updating screens, PID loop tuning, programming changes, add/remove I/O.
  • Monitors process metrics to drive equipment reliability and take a proactive approach to implement reliability improvements as they arise
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required. Technical trade school and/or completion of an apprenticeship, certification or associate degree program in instrumentation or related studies is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years maintenance and/or operation experience in a Gas Processing Facility.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record.
  • Self-motivated individual able to work independently or in a team environment and willing to learn.
  • Solid computer skills to include Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, with the ability to respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objective and the ability to work shifts for plant or field conditions.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in changing climate conditions.
  • Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
  • Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, Nomex).
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of electrical codes NFPA 70E and is familiar with AC voltage (120v-4160v) three phase and single phase plus 120 VDC, HMI, and PLC programming required.Preferably trained and obtained certification for High Voltage termination and cable testing, Ex, electrical switcher etc.
  • Experience with Foxboro DCS and/or Siemens PLCs is a plus.
  • Must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment.
  • Must be able to assume responsibility, prioritize and respond to multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, decision making skills and strong work ethic.
  • Candidate will be subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.
  • Knowledge of PSM and mechanical drawings, maintenance records, maintenance procedures, equipment drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  • Knowledge of all safety aspects of electrical troubleshooting and maintenance, including compliance with OSHA 1910.
  • Working knowledge of diagnostic tools.
  • Must live within a 60-mile radius.
