The Plant Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operations and
maintenance of natural gas treating and processing plants,
compressors and pipeline systems via both computer control center
and onsite operations.
The operator is responsible for pipeline equipment including, but
not limited to: chilled water gas conditioning skids, reciprocating
natural gas compressors, dehydrators, fluid separation equipment,
valves, gas measurement equipment, etc.
Start-up/Shutdown of plant equipment.
Adjust controls to operate equipment in the recommended or
prescribed operating ranges.
Visually inspect equipment and controls at periodic intervals to
detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment or lubrication.
Perform minor maintenance on equipment including, but not limited
to: reciprocating natural gas compressors, TEG dehydrators, fluid
separation equipment, valves, etc.
Read, monitor and record various operating conditions such as
pressure, temperature, hours of operations, fuel consumed, water
De-pressure equipment and pipelines.
Monitor plant and pipeline operations and respond to emergency or

Ensure regulatory compliance and record keeping requirements are
met and continually monitored.
Monitor, remove and replace gauges, filters, oil, chemicals, other
lubricating fluids, gaskets, and valves as needed.
Maintain sites in a clean condition including picking up/taking out
trash, control weeds and grassy areas, minor painting,

Change out suction/discharge valves on natural gas compressors,
light bulbs, and fuses.
Monitor contract labor involved in plant maintenance
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), and a
strong mechanical aptitude, preferably with three to five (3-5)
years of experience. Minimum of two (2) years’ Oil & Gas Industry,
Midstream, Gas Plant Operations experience.
Available to work shift 7/7
Available for call- outs 24 hours/7 days a week.
Live in a 30 mile radius
Ability to assume responsibility, be flexible, perform duties and
handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous
