An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

- it is the primary responsibility of the Starting Gate Cashier to greet guests coming to the Starting Gate with a smile, eye contact and a warm verbal greeting. Must be outgoing with the ability to engage and entertain guests. The Cashier will collect cover charges as required and check iDs of all patrons to ensure guests are of age for entrance. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices and procedures. ESSENTiAL DUTiES & RESPONSiBiLiTiES: - Greets guests in a timely manner.initiates conversation with guests. - Set up and break down concession stations. - Clean and maintain station. - Operate cash register if required, take money and make change. - Anticipates guest needs when possible. - Communicates with bartenders and managers regarding guest requests. - Completes end of shift checkout and paperwork according to preset standards. - Complete assigned opening and closing side work. - Claims tips received according to laws governing wage reporting. - Provides A Service to every patron and employee. - Perform duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff. - May be required to answer questions when a manager is not available. - Must work well under pressure, and meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines. - Adhere to all corporate and local policies, procedures, and operating guidelines. - Must at all times demonstrate ethical and cooperative behavior with guests, co-workers and leadership. - Performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management. SUPERViSORY RESPONSiBiLiTiES - This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. - High school diploma or G.E.D preferred. - 6 months or more relevant experience in customer service and cash handling required. - Must qualify for certification through NMAST. - Basic math skill is required, ability to handle cash and accurately make change. - Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards and work varied shifts, which will include weekends and holidays. - Ability to read, write and speak English required. - Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are required. - Ability to work as part of a team and to promote cooperative approach between departments. - Ability to work unsupervised. PHYSiCAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and standing for long periods of time. - Walking and/or standing 90% of the time. - Lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store or move materials, supplies and equipment.
