Job Description:

Regional Sales Manager

Purpose of Job: Leads and manages regional sales (district, account managers and field technicians) and technical teams, ensuring fulfillment of contractual commitments to Company's existing customers; grows sales with existing and new customers in the Permian Basin region.

Main Responsibilities:

Sales Management

  • Leads the team towards achievement of sales, growth, and profitability targets.

  • Responsible for commercial aspects of contract fulfillment (business reviews, TSAs, etc.), including staffing

  • Maintains CRM records of all customer contacts and opportunities

  • Develops and manages sales growth opportunities towards conversion to business

Strategy Execution

  • Implements the Global strategy in line with regional requirements, and aligned with management

  • Monitors service levels, costs, margins, and ensures pricing action when costs increase

  • Monitors Company's performance in the region vs. competition and proposes actions


  • Communicates Strategy & vision in line with the global management, ensures local buy-in

  • Ensure people development to full potential, e.g., evaluation, training, coaching, appraising, improvement, talent identification, promotion

  • Develop a succession plan for key roles to ensure business continuity

Relationship Management

  • Builds relationships with key customer stakeholders, ensuring cross-functional representation by Company

  • Communicate regularly with Management, Marketing, Finance, Technology, Service Units, and peers

  • Works closely with the Operations organization in the region, towards customer satisfaction

  • Communicates internally and externally with stakeholders, customers, and other service company personnel to ensure overall sales objectives are met.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (chemical, mechanical, or petroleum), Chemistry, Business, or Industrial Distribution

  • 10 + years oil and gas industry progressive experience, preference for oilfield chemical service.

  • Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting, and metrics, as well as business software

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, presentation skills, team player, personable & able to build relationships, ability to obtain all necessary clearances and certifications, skilled in MS office, strong problem-solving ability with customers, personnel, operations, and chemical solutions, ability to travel moderately to frequently.
