Monday Friday

6:00 am 4:00 pm (hours will vary, and overtime is mandatory)

$50,000 $80,000 per year

  • Responsible for the efficient and effective management of all production operations.
  • Responsible for the quality and on-time completion of each project produced at the facility.
  • Assess project workflow requirements and assign resources as necessary for Assembly, Skid Welding and Hydro work areas.
  • Oversee management and workflow of Paint, Pipe and Vessel Fabrication. Adjust departments priorities as needed to meet project ship dates.
  • Meet with department managers prior to production meetings to confirm schedule and department needs to stay on target for project ship dates.
  • Project shipping delays three weeks ahead of scheduled shipping dates and inform Senior Management and project managers of the cause of delay and any resolutions to stay on schedule.
  • Communicate daily with non-production departments (QC, Warehouse, Drafting/Engineering, Project Management and Senior Management) highlighting intercompany needs to maintain project ship dates, material and labor budgets.
  • Hold all production departments accountable for shop cleanliness and organization practices.
  • Hold all production department employees accountable to GPF company policies. Report to Senior Management and HR on all policy violations.
  • Organize and delegate the repair and routine maintenance of all production equipment (welding machines, positioners, tank rolls, sub arcs, threading machines, plasma table, profiler, forklifts, blast reclamation machine, etc.)
  • Conduct quarterly evaluations of each manager; provide constructive feedback to each manager on their individual performance and that of their section. Provide a copy of each evaluation to senior management and HR. Ensure all managers are conducting quarterly evaluations of and providing feedback to their employees.


  • Inform Project Managers and Senior Management of all material, drafting, design, rework and QC issues.
  • Provide a resolution to each problem at hand.
  • Inform Project Managers and Senior Management of daily missed production goals that will affect ship dates.
  • Inform Senior Management and Department Mangers of any equipment failures and resolutions for fixing
  • Inform Senior Management and HR on all policy violations (Safety, Harassment, Sexual Harassment, etc.)
  • Report any employee identified as positive for COVID-19 or known exposure to an individual with COVID-19 email with details to Senior Management and HR
  • Workplace injury requiring medical care. Death or risk to life, limb, or eyesight immediate phone call. All others email with details of injury to Senior Management and HR
  • Ask approval from Senior Management and inform HR on new hires and re-hires. Submit termination paperwork on all terminations to HR and employee write ups.
  • Provide HR with copies on a weekly basis of all formal write ups addressing with employees regarding (poor performance, improvements needed, not following procedures, etc.
  • Report all lost, stolen or damaged equipment with details of incident.


  • Send out a weekly report every Thursday to all Project Managers, Warehouse, QC, Department Managers and Drafting/Engineering as needed. Detail project status on everything in production and upcoming jobs that will be fed into production in the next two weeks. Report needs to confirm if the project is on target for ship date and highlight any items that may delay the ship date including but not limited to (material, manpower, drawing discrepancies, rework, etc.). Highlight exceptional individuals or departments that are exceeding expectations and give them commendation.
  • Inform Warehouse of all projects be slotted into production the following week
  • Discuss labor needs with Department Managers for the next three weeks.
  • Manage resources to eliminate overtime. If OT is required to meet a ship date request approval for OT and provide strategy plan on why OT is needed.


  • Production management experience: 3-5 years.
  • Ability to lead in a dynamic environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm while supporting and driving a high-performance team environment.
  • Expected to cultivate a department culture in line with company s purpose and values.
  • Professional, dependable disposition.
  • Self-motivated with good time-management and communication skills.
  • Strong floor presence with an employee-engaging leadership style.
  • Safety minded.
  • Must be available to work overtime, 60 + hours a week may be required.
  • Computer knowledge and proficiency is a must; knowledge of ERP/MRP systems preferred.
