Job Description:

Summary:

Assists the daily work activities of the Production crew. Under the direction of the Area Production Superintendent & Sr Operators.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Determines equipment and best method to rig up according to the package selected by the customer.
* With the assistance of a Jr. Operator and/or Helper unloads and assembles the equipment to be used, sets up the service unit, and initiates the rig up.
* Provides training, guidance, and leadership to less experience Operators, Jr. Operators, and Helpers in the operation of well testing equipment.
* Works on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, except, on regularly scheduled days-off period. To be available on short notice for performing work duties.
* Is familiar with correct procedures and performs basic routine equipment maintenance in preparation for next job. Cleans and checks service unit, tools and equipment.
* Is required to pull travel trailers to job sites.
* Performs routine readings of equipment during rigging up to ensure equipment is always performing according to customers' requirements while maintaining a safety operation.
* When needed, moves equipment around yard with forklifts, help load and unload trucks day and night, makes hotshot and parts runs, sweep and mop shop and yard.
* Observes safe working practices, safety rules and regulations. Complies with Company safety policies and procedures. Initiates JSA Safety procedures prior to the rig up. Corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports to Field Supervisor if not immediately correctable.
* Attends in-house and/or outside training seminars to acquire basic knowledge of OSHA and Company safety programs and policies.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or General Education Certification (GED)
* Minimum 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Must have leadership experience and knowledge of production platform activities
* Must demonstrate high level of integrity and ethical behavior
* Ability to make decisions independently and make sound judgments
* Must have proven ability to assess the work scenario, develop a plan, deploy resources and execute effectively
* Must be highly adaptable to changing priorities and business needs
* Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Have strong mechanical aptitude
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to solve complex problems
* Proven ability to communicate effectively and strong customer relationships
* Proven ability to develop talent
* Must be able to travel up to 100%, with 24-hour notice
* Pass the required physical examination and drug and alcohol test

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment, including hearing protection, safety glasses, and respiratory protection. Must be capable of working rotating day and night shifts with a minimum of 12-hour duration, and shift schedules that will vary from 7 days on, 7 days off to 14 and 14, or other combinations.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions ranging from sub-freezing to 100+ degrees Fahrenheit. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
