paid for it!The Clinician will provide counseling and eligibility
determination services to individuals with mental illness in our
Midland/Odessa Specialty Care Clinics by assessing, identifying,
and diagnosing client mental health conditions and disorders
through interviews, observations, and evaluation tools. Counsel
clients through best practices techniques, ranging from
psychotherapy to cognitive/dialectical behavioral therapy, EMDR,
and more.Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Applies specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical
skills in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of
mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders, conditions and
addictions, including severe mental illness in adults.
- Uses various treatment methods, including evidence-based
treatment modalities i.e. Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy, DBT, EMDR, Brief Problem-Solving Therapy, etc.
in the provision of individual therapy.
- Provide individual counseling utilizing professional counseling
standards.
- Provide outpatient mental health assessments and develop
treatment plans for identified individuals.
- Identify patients with urgent mental health conditions and make
appropriate referrals.
- Consult with psychiatric providers regarding the patient
treatment plan.
- Effectively communicate with and educate clients on treatment
options, methods, and techniques.
- Establish and obtain client rapport by presenting a helpful,
engages and empathetic approach.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and to DSHS
established documentation standards.
- Maintains compliance with Texas state laws, federal laws and
ethical guidelines defined by one's credentialing board with
respect to patient confidentiality, conflicting interests,
reporting of abuse and patient terminationEducation Required: A
Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a
major in a social, behavioral, or human service field including,
but not limited to, psychology, social work, medicine, nursing,
rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development,
gerontology, or educational psychology and certification as an LPC
or LMSW-ACP. An LPC -Intern may be hired for the position of
clinician; however, the candidate must obtain their full licensure
within 180 days of employment.Experience Required: At least 1 year
of experience working with individuals with mental illness or
developmental disabilities preferred.Position Requirements: Valid
Driver's License, proof of auto insurance, and insurable through
PermiaCare. Required to pass criminal history and background checks
as well as pre-employment drug screen.Full Time/Part Time:
Full-time positionSalary: $61,889 per year. Sign on bonus may be
