substance abuse diagnoses, assist from behind the scenes in any one

paid for it!The Crisis Response Worker is responsible for daytime
response to mental health crisis calls from Law Enforcement,
Emergency Room, and community; and walk-in crisis in the Mental
Health Clinic. Provides emergency services to PermiaCare clients
and individuals in the community by defining presenting complaints,
obtaining relevant history, assessing needed intervention, and
initiating appropriate crisis intervention services, resolving
crisis situations, filing emergency detention and commitment
papers, and facilitating entrance into Crisis respite facility when
appropriate. Responsible for ensuring the persons in crisis are
treated in the least restrictive and most appropriate environment,
specifically, reducing admissions to Big Spring State Hospital.
Works to develop and maintain positive working relationships with
city and county law enforcement, hospital personnel, and the
judiciary. Facilitates entry of crisis clients into needed Brief
Services and/or referral to Ongoing Services. Coordinates services
for registered clients in Crisis Respite facility.Maintain jail
diversion reports. Fill in as needed as tele-medication
facilitator. Fills in on evening rotation when Crisis Response
Worker (Evening) request PTO or calls in sick. Hours are 8:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Make referrals for,
coordinate, and monitor the delivery of, Medicaid services. Perform
program planning, policy development, and coordination related to
program area.Education Required: A Bachelor's degree from an
accredited college or university with a major in psychology, social
work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology,
human growth and development, physician assistance, gerontology,
special education, educational psychology, early childhood
education or early childhood intervention or a bachelor's degree
with at least 30 hours of coursework in the previous
fields.Experience Required: At least two years experience in mental
health field preferred.Position Requirements: Valid Driver's
License, proof of auto insurance, and insurable through PermiaCare.
Required to pass criminal history and background checks as well as
pre-employment drug screen.Full Time/Part Time: Full-time
positionSalary: $20.65 per hour. Sign on bonus may be
