position will give technical guidance, mentoring, daily priorities
and leadership to field compliance technicians. The person in this
role is expected to have very strong leadership and communication
skills. This will include the identification of hiring needs as
workloads shift, problems or potential problems; documentation and
reporting in assisting with program oversight and executing the
field work required to ensure compliance with State and Federal
fugitive gas vapor (methane) emissions rules. These
responsibilities include conducting the required STEM and LDAR
compliance inspections, leak repairs and follow-up procedures. In
addition, the lead will conduct STEM analysis, data management, and
relieve the program manager, as required. It is expected this
individual will work in unison with Field Environmental Compliance
Specialists, Environmental Compliance Managers, technical staff,
consultants, and field operations staff in this role. Primary Job
Responsibilities :
- Perform advanced to expert level field compliance skills
- Hire, manage, and budget contractor support when workload
requires external support
- Be a leader in safe operating practices and ensure compliance
with Civitas Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements
- Develop innovations to increase program efficiency
- Act as a relief for program manager through proficiency in
scheduling, data management, and data reporting -
- Work independently to conduct detailed emissions inspection
using optical imaging equipment
- Conduct repairs of STEM related components at production
locations and facilities as outlined in the LDAR Program Safe
Inspection and Repair SOPs -
- Coordinate repairs of higher risk leaks with
operations/maintenance group & direct supervisor, utilizing the
proper work order system
- Works directly with state and local agency enforcement officers
and inspection teams to minimize compliance risks -
- Perform various facility maintenance tasks necessary for
maintaining EHS&RC compliance
- Maintain company truck and tool inventory, as well as track
materials used for repairs by location
- Participate in regular LDAR team meetings, as well as periodic
reviews/audits to assist in the improvement of efficiency, safety
and reporting from the Civitas LDAR team
- Actively participate in behavior based safety and equipment
integrity observation programs
- Track, document and maintain field equipment and facility site
diagrams, for regulatory reporting purposes. This data is essential
for the efficiency of various departments in the company.
- Assist Operations in tracking fired equipment inspections and
ECD inspections.
- Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with
Civitas Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements
- Assures all work performed adheres to Civitas standards
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Proficient in ProntoForms and Excel for data input and
tracking.
- Takes ownership of projects and responsibilities, displaying a
high level of accountability and initiative.
- Ability to work efficiently independently as well as
effectively within a team environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to
articulate ideas clearly and effectively in a variety of settings
and with diverse audiences.

- May supervise consultants or external labor programs. Education
& Experience :
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent additional technical
certifications required. -
- Minimum 2 years of oil and gas field experience with in-depth
knowledge of operations, procedures, and safety required.
- Minimum 1 year of infrared camera experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook) required. -
- Experience with data entry, demonstrating proficiency in
accurately and efficiently entering large volumes of data
preferred. Travel Requirements :
- Schedule: 14 days On, 14 days Off shift work to accommodate
travel to JAL, New Mexico, Big Lake, TX, and Midland TX (as
needed). -
- Travel required to the Civitas field locations and work sites
with a company provided vehicle. -
- Travel will include flying into Midland or other economic area
for shift purposes.
- Work may be performed in and around developed cities or
undeveloped rural areas depending on the nature of the
assignment.
