Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/ (Under the direction of the Business Unit Manager, the Process Quality Leader provides technical leadership towards the identification of the causes for non-conformances and process failures and the implementation of associated remedial, corrective, and preventive actions. The Process Quality Leader thus is responsible for ensuring process performance and compliance for the entire business unit's manufacturing processes against Ethicon's QSR, GMP, and ISO requirements.Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and analyzes quality trends with the manufacturing team. Provides direction and sets work priorities for process enhancement.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to cross-functional, multi-level technical teams to ensure causes of non-conformances are identified and understood and that sound corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
  • Provides training and education to the manufacturing team on tools for process evaluation and improvement. (Analytical trouble shooting, FMEA, statistical concept application and QSR/ISO requirements).
  • Participates in internal audits as a team or lead auditor to ensure compliance with all applicable quality system standards and directives in accordance with internal audit schedule.
  • Handles, prepares data and presents product escalation investigations (PRE's), near misses and QRB.Requirements:
    • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office) and use of software application(s) are required.
    • Must have thorough knowledge in QSR, GMP, ISO, knowledge in applied statistics and failure mode analysis techniques.
    • Proficient in the preparation of technical reports and presentations.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Requires good negotiation skills. Entails heavy interaction with technical peers and manufacturing associates.
    • Requires leadership skills, teamwork, initiative, creativity, assertiveness, attention to detail, and effective interpersonal skills.
    • May require working / visiting all shifts of the operation and working irregular hours.Qualifications: Required Skills:
      • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required.
      • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the QSR/ISO required - regulated medical device operation preferred.
      • A minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering is required.
      • Requires up to 10% travel. Preferred Skills:
        • A Master's degree or PhD in Engineering preferred.
