We encourage you to join a company who is dedicated to developing digital and electrical solutions to meet our growing customer needs. - This position performs all the duties of a Tech III but has additional responsibilities of providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced technicians. - They provide customers with on-site technical solutions to a wide array of complicated field issues involving mechanical and electrical failures in a timely, efficient and courteous manner. - These technical solutions include but are not limited to troubleshooting, performance evaluation, service maintenance, emergency repair, and proper installation of multiple types of Instrumentation/Control Systems and other associated Products. - The Lube Technician travels to a variety of customer locations such as Industrial Manufacturing, Oil & Gas/Natural Gas Pipeline locations, Petrochemical, Power Generation and Marine Markets, where they will interact directly with multiple levels of the organization within these customer locations. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Mentors and instructs less experienced Service Technicians.
  • Performs advanced services on reciprocating Engine/Compressors' Instrumentation/Controls.
  • Troubleshoots and determines what kind of repairs are needed.
  • Studies manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of company products.
  • Performs evaluations to determine cause of operating errors; makes decisions on corrective course of action.
  • Enters codes and instructions to program or set up PLC type Logic-controlled machinery.
  • Observes and tests the operation of Controls Systems to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters, ammeters, infrared thermometers, or other testing devices.
  • Analyzes results, error messages, or information obtained to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Installs, Replaces, or Disassembles equipment to remove parts and make repairs. Repairs or replaces malfunctioning components of Controls/Instrumentation.
  • Operates newly repaired equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
  • Records parts or materials used and orders or requisitions new parts or materials as necessary to maintain Truck Inventory.
  • Records repairs, parts used, and labor performed on Field Service Report on ALL Jobs.
  • Communicates equipment functions and features to customer
  • Upsells ALL company represented products and services to improve the reliability and efficiency of customer's operations.
  • Safely operates company-provided service vehicle to, from, and on customer sites.
  • Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with co-workers and customers.

    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical Diploma, certificate or Associate's Degree in technical field is preferred.
    • Advanced knowledge and ability to conduct safety assessments of a continuously changing work environment.
    • (3-5 years) experience with Instrumentation/Control Systems required.
    • (3-5 years) experience with Industrial Products, Electrical Schematics & Instrumentation.
    • Advanced knowledge and understanding of wiring schematics.
      • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Process and Instrumentation, Panel & PLC Diagrams/Drawings.
      • Advanced knowledge and understanding of some typical Control Systems, and their functions.
      • Mastery of, advanced expertise, knowledge and/or certification with a specialized equipment including:
        • Troubleshooting and repair of associated Controls/Systems.
        • Operation of specialty equipment.
        • Operation of competitive equipment.
        • Ability to comprehend and apply safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to Lockout, Tagout, and Test, and NFPA 70E- with company provided training.
        • Must provide own basic hand tools.
        • Must possess a valid driver's license and ability to maintain acceptable driving history and DOT driver certification.
        • Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background check and possibly periodic customer required drug screen, and DOT driver certification physical. EEO M/F/Disability/Veteran--- -
