Job Description:
The position pays up to $16.50/ hour depending on experience and
offers an $850 sign on bonus.Job Description:The Make Ready
Technician is vital in ensuring that all units in the apartment
community are prepared to company standards through completion of a
service punch list and ready for resident move-in. You will perform
primarily non-technical duties of repair and preventative
maintenance in which you will be required to communicate
effectively with residents, guests, and team members.Key
Responsibilities:Ensure vacant units are ready before move-in
including completion of a service punch list in accordance with
safety and operations standardsPerform repair and preventative
maintenance at the apartment community including light carpentry
and hardware, general plumbing, painting, floor/molding repair,
appliance installation, light fixture replacement, basic
electrical, trash removal, and weather preparation/clean
upCommunicate effectively with residents, guests, and team
membersPrepare maintenance reports and other job-related
documentationMaintain inventory of basic personal tools to complete
task requirements including but not limited to a hammer,
screwdriver, adjustable wrench, tape measure, and
flashlightOrganize, maintain, and utilize provided supplies in a
cost-effective mannerPresent an appearance appropriate to the image
of the companyComplete additional tasks or duties assigned by
Community Manager and Facilities ManagerThe Make Ready Technician
must have the ability to install, repair, and/or complete the
following items in a responsible and professional manner. These
responsibilities include but are not limited toLight carpentry and
drywallTouch-up paintingDoor and window hardwareWindow screens and
blindsCleaning and unclogging plumbing such as toilets, sinks,
drains, and disposalsLight fixtures, electrical circuits,
receptacles, breakers, switches, and fusesTesting appliances such
as stoves, refrigerators, and washers/dryersWall molding and
caulkingCounter tops and cabinetsVinyl and ceramic flooring
coveringWeather preparation and clean up including removing bulk
trashCleaning and inspection of common area mechanical and storage
rooms as neededQualifications:Professional Experience:Minimum of
one year of Make Ready Technician experience requiredEducation:High
school education or equivalent is preferredAccurately perform basic
mathematical functionsComputer Skills:Basic computer and internet
knowledge preferredAbility to use on-site resident management
software preferredPhysical Demands:Physical demands may include the
ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The team member will be regularly
required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach using feet,
legs, back, arms and hands. The team member may occasionally be
required to climb. Specific vision requirements include the ability
to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth
perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The team member will
be required to work at a personal computer. Must possess the
ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to
work extended/flexible hours and weekends as needed.Special
