Astound Broadband Powered by Grande is currently looking for a Field Installation Technician in Odessa, Texas to install, disconnect, reconnect, add and/or change Video, Voice and Data Services and troubleshoot Astound Broadband products at residential customers homes. • Install, disconnect and educate customers on the products that are installed in the customer's home.
• Generate additional company revenue by utilizing effective sales techniques and by offering customers information about product options, sales campaigns, and promotions.
• Add value to the customers' installation by completing Video, Voice, and Internet Service component hookups i.e. DVR.
• Accomplish workload demands against performance metrics by working productively, safely, and by completing all requested work orders in a timely manner with limited supervision.
• Resolve problems caused by customer equipment, adjust customer television and/or other equipment to improve picture quality, and instruct customers on the correct operation of Video, Voice, Internet Service equipment.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing information on all available company products and by promoting a positive, professional image.
• Other duties as assigned.Our ideal candidate will possess:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver license and safe driving record
  • At least one year of experience in a role where you have worked with small hand tools, outside in a hot/cold work environment, preferred but not required. We are looking for the right attitude, the willingness and desire to learn a trade and grow within the organization.
  • Above-average problem-solving, planning AND organizational skills
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under hazardous conditions is a VITAL necessity in this role and is part of the daily routine.
