Company OverviewSignal Peak Silica, LLC ("SPS") is the first frac sand provider to expand to in-basin mining and production, with facilities located in Monahans, Texas, to serve the Permian; Poteet, Texas, to serve the Eagle Ford; and Oakwood, Oklahoma, to serve the SCOOP/STACK formations. The portfolio of three in-basin plants is the backbone of the Company. The proximity of our facilities to both the Midland and Delaware basins in the Permian, the Eagle Ford and the SCOOP/STACK formations enable us to eliminate much of the cost associated with delivering frac sand from outside the basin. This includes the fixed cost of procuring, maintaining (and storing during periods of lower utilization) the associated railcar fleets, the capital expenditures associated with the rail and transload infrastructure that support a rail fleet (at origin and destination), and/or the fixed minimum throughput agreements common at third party transload facilities. We are a company driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, a results-oriented culture, and a philosophy based on individual performances and responsibility.Position SummaryWe are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for our facility in Monahans, TX. Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the plant's business goals and objectives. -This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.Essential Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to maintain plant equipment
• Provide emergency/ unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Participate in the maintenance On-Call system
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situation to proper supervision
• Comply with MSHA regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Other duties as assignedEducation and Experience
  • A minimum of three years combined manufacturing/processing work experience and schooling
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
  • Associate degree or technical school equivalent preferred
  • Welder certification preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner
    • Must have strong electrical and controls troubleshooting, welding experience, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills
    • Must be able to work in adverse working conditions such as heat, wet, cold, noise, etc.
    • Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed
    • Strong communication skillsWorking Conditions & Physical Requirements
      • All duties require outside assignments and require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry and dusty
      • Safety-sensitivity position
      • Ability to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, stoop, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
      • Ability to operate hand controls with both hands
      • Ability to operate mobile equipment, foot pedals with both feet
      • Ability to perform sustained overhead reaching
      • Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather
      • Ability to work in cramped quarters
      • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 150 feet
