Job Description:
GENERAL SUMMARY: -This position requires a Professional Engineer
(PE) license; the position is responsible for working with the
existing electrical engineering team to develop electrical plan for
upstream oil and gas sites, conducting all calculations and
assessments for sizing, and generating all documentation required
to quote equipment. This position will work closely with
operations, project management, and clients. -PRIMARY
RESPONSIBILITIES: -
- Design and develop drawings and specifications for a site's
lighting, power, electrical distribution, emergency, and grounding
systems
- Perform lighting and power engineering calculations
- Design to applicable standards and codes
- Coordination with operations, other disciplines, contractors,
and the client.
- Evaluate, select and specify appropriate electrical
equipment/systems
- Manage small project's scope of work and schedules -
-KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: -
- Proven computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft
Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) typing, and ability to write
reports
- Working knowledge of the NEC, IBC, IEC, NFPA
- Able to effectively collaborate in a team environment
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or other similar software
- Able to work with minimum supervision, prioritize workload, and
meet deadlines
EDUCATION, LICENSES AND EXPERIENCE:
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) required
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (master's degree
preferred)
- Minimum 4 years of Electrical Engineering experience in
construction (3 years with master's degree) -WORKING CONDITIONS AND

- Work Environment: Minimal exposure to elements and hazards,
such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or
moderate noises which require following basic safety
precautions
- Physical activity: Requires light physical work; regularly
required to sit or stand, use of hands and fingers to operate a
computer; able to lift to 20 pounds.
- Travel: Up to 25%, includes visits to existing facilities and
construction sites and may involve in and out of state travel to
branch offices and/or other remote locations.
