Job Description Position Summary The Production Supervisor represents integral link between front line operations employees and the Production Manager demonstrating effective leadership in the efficient operation of the Black Mountain Sand facility. The Production Supervisor will direct operations personnel with a focus on providing a safe work environment that results in the manufacture of quality products, on schedule, at the lowest optimum cost consistent with Corporate objectives. The Production Supervisor will exemplify behaviors of high integrity, versatility, leading with an ownership mentality and using good judgment. The Production Supervisor will encourage teamwork and communicate transparently both up and down the organization. The position will report to the Production Manager. Essential Functions

• Assume responsibility of and direct an operational crew of 13 at one of our West Texas facilities. This includes direct oversight of production, common maintenance, quality control, and loadout.
• Advise the Production Manager, and other managerial staff as appropriate, of any concerns or potential impediments to the ability of the plant to operate in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
• Schedule, direct, and oversee all activities of the operations personnel on their crew to achieve the safe and efficient utilization of manpower, material, and facilities.
• Assure the flow of routine information to other departments, especially hand-over communications to their relief Production Supervisor, is mutually effective and accessible.
• Support and ensure participation in, and compliance with, the health, safety, and housekeeping programs in the plant pursuant to Company policy.
• Establish and maintain an environment that supports the supervision, training, and development of all production staff for whom they are responsible.
• Recommend changes in standards, procedures or processes that support continuous improvement of safety, performance and integrity of the plant and the products it produces.
• Perform other duties as required. Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • At least 7 years operational experience in sand, aggregate or other industrial material processing
  • Must have prior experience with mining operations
  • Knowledge of asset utilization practices and field-application techniques
  • Ability to constantly and professionally administer procedures, policies and reports
  • Exceptional communication, both written and oral, and interpersonal abilities; organization and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and various technology programs to maintain records and reports for the facility
  • Ability to work both tactically and strategically
  • Ability to effectively manage personnel located in remote areas with hands-on, solution-driven approach
