CHEMIST TECHNICIAN Where will you work: Onsite Carlsbad, New Mexico ( PO Box 71 - 1361 Potash Mines Road - Carlsbad, NM 88220) The Chemist Technician is responsible for the analysis of all routine and non-routine shipping, production, development, and special assays submitted by the operation and any other samples as directed by the laboratory supervisor. This is a salaried, non-exempt position working a 12hr rotating shift schedule. If you are looking for a career and not just a job, you are in the right place! What you ll do?

• Chemical analysis of routine production samples.
• Chemical analysis of daily mine samples.
• Chemical and screen analysis of daily shipping samples.
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment and housekeeping. What you ll need:
  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor s degree in Chemistry or related degree preferred.
  • 0-3 years of experience in a related industry.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a lab environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Must possess basic math skills and have a fundamental knowledge of the metric system.
  • Must also possess the ability to solve problems and be capable of working without direct supervision.
  • A fundamental knowledge of chemical and mineralogical relationships is preferred.
