Electrical Journeyman

Carlsbad, NM

Candidate must have a EE98J license , hand tools and reliable transportation, good driving and background record, a high degree of maturity and a proven track record of at least 8 years' experience in both residential and commercial electrical projects. Candidate must be willing to live in the Carlsbad area. Per Diem is NOT provided unless required or stipulated in the contract with the customer/client.

Applicants must be drug free, pass a driving history screening and criminal background check.

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Tasks include, but are not limited to;

Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes;
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components; and
Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps;

Some of the skills and abilities required are;

Troubleshooting - determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it;

Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one; and
Attention to detail as the job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Incentive Package

Hourly pay ranges depending on experience ($44.00-$46.00 per hour).
Benefits include medical, dental (both after 60 days of service), vacation, holidays, & simple plan (after one year of service).
