Responsibilities of Customer Service Representative/AR Clerk include, but are not limited to:

  • Responding to customer inquiries regarding company products and services
  • Processing customer phone orders
  • Checking availability of stock and shipping dates
  • Quoting prices, filling orders to customer specifications and processing sales data via computer
  • Assisting the outside sales team by preparing price quotes and sourcing products
  • ---Post vendor invoices
  • ---Process a high volume of invoices (approx. 150-200 daily)
  • ---Research invoice errors and match exceptions
  • ---Build strong working relationships with our vendors and plant locations
  • ---Complete assignments on time with a high rate of accuracy
  • ---Respond to requests and inquiries in a timely manner
  • ---Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • ---Maintain focus - Emphasize business critical priorities to minimize service disruptions
  • ---Maintain poise and professionalism especially during stressful situations or heavy workloads
  • ---Other duties and special projects as assigned Qualifications of the Customer Service Representative/AR Clerk include, but are not limited to:
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Should be enthusiastic and able to work independently
    • Must have experience performing a majority of the functions
    • Prior inside sales/customer service experience
    • Data entry skills, organization, multi-tasking and customer focus is required
    • Regular in-person attendance required
    • ---At least 2 years of Accounts Payable experience required
    • ---10 key by touch
    • ---Accurate data entry/computer skills
    • ---Excellent communication skills
    • ---Coachable - willing to learn from mistakes and receive guidance
    • ---Experience with 3-way matching - PO, Receipt, Invoice
    • ---Microsoft Office experience a plus - including Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • ---Experience with Coupa a plus but not required
