Crude Maintenance Technician CORPORATE SUMMARY Salt Creek
Midstream (SCM) is a greenfield midstream company built to provide
a full suite of midstream services and downstream solutions to
producers in the Delaware Basin. SCM leverages fundamental and
intra-basin knowledge to optimize the value of producer resources,
reduce bottlenecks and deliver higher netbacks to the producer.
POSITION SUMMARY The Crude Maintenance Technician is responsible
for repairing and maintaining various equipment to include but is
not limited to electric motors, centrifugal pumps, gear pumps,
triplex pumps, control valves, ball valves, and LACTs. Must be able
to perform minor electrical troubleshooting and assess issues. Must
be able to prioritize safety while maintaining efficient and
reliable performance from all applicable equipment. Reports to the
Crude Maintenance Lead. This position has no supervisory
responsibilities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Installs,
maintains, and troubleshoots complex systems. • Trains new
technicians as needed. • Provides maintenance support for assigned
assets such as, but not limited to, crude oil LACTs, crude oil
pumps (triplex, centrifugal, and gear pumps), pipelines, and crude
oil terminals. Assets typically consist of site, site structures,
buildings, and industrial equipment, which varies by asset’s
functionality. • Performs preventative and predictive maintenance
and repairs on facility-specific equipment. • Assist other
workgroups in the daily operation of a system to ensure safe,
efficient, and reliable service. • Maintains complete, accurate,
and regulatory-compliant documentation. Knowledge, Skills,
Abilities. • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
develops experience with software packages with multiple
maintenance functionalities such as equipment data management,
preventative maintenance, work order system, scheduling planning,
inventory control, asset tracking. • Equipment maintenance develops
knowledge of and ability to perform asset-specific preventative and
predictive maintenance to assure equipment operation at acceptable
performance levels. • Mechanical aptitude develops the ability to
understand and apply mechanical concepts and principles such as,
but not limited to, sounds, heat conduction, velocity, gravity,
friction, pressure, kinetic and potential energy, etc., when
working or using mechanical machinery. • Repairing develops
knowledge of and ability to repair machines, devices, and equipment
based on electrical and/or mechanical principles to diagnose
malfunctions. Conducts tests and inspections to evaluate quality or
performance. Watches gauges, dials, or other indicators to make
sure machine/device/equipment is working properly. Able to read,
interpret, and engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics. •
Safety applies in difficult or complex situation’s ability to
recognize safety risks in operational activities and use
appropriate measures to control and manage identified risks. •
Safety awareness ability to recognize and identify potential
hazards. Evaluates changes in the work environment concerning the
impact on the safety of self and others. Understands potential
threats created by deviation from safety procedures and improper
use of tools and equipment. Uses personal protection equipment.
Uses tools and equipment in compliance with manuals and training.
Calls attention to potential and actual hazardous conditions as
they arise. Demonstrates knowledge of lockout/tag-out procedures.
Stops work if there are unsafe working conditions. • Performs other
related duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS • High
school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three
years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination
of education and experience. • Certificates, Licenses, and
registrations required: CDL Driver’s License. • Computer skills
required: Payroll Systems; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Word
Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook);
Presentation software (PowerPoint) • Must be able to work callouts,
extended hours on request, including nights, weekends, and
holidays. • Other skills required: o Familiarity with all aspects
of oil gathering and field operations. o Gauging and maintenance
experience within the oil industry. o Good interpersonal skills. o
Self-starter who can work independently. o Analytical with
attention to detail and solid problem-solving abilities. o Ability
to formulate written reports and documentation. o Related work
experience at the well level (well tender/pumper).
