Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation is looking for a dedicated
Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our compassionate and
innovative team. Our Occupational Therapy Assistants play a
critical role in providing rehabilitative services to patients in
our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, helping them regain
independence after illness or injury. As part of our healthcare
team, you will work closely with licensed Occupational Therapists
to implement therapeutic plans and track patient progress. You will
have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives
by helping them enhance their mobility and overall quality of life.
Assist licensed Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs
and developing treatment plans. Carry out therapeutic interventions
as designed by the supervising Occupational Therapist to improve
patients’ functional abilities. Regularly document and report
patient status and progress. Prepare and organize therapy materials
and equipment. Communicate with patients and their families about
therapy goals and patient progress in a comprehensible and
compassionate manner. Adhere to facility and departmental policies
and procedures. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively as
a team member. Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and
understanding of patient care. Competency in keeping accurate and
detailed records. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
licensure required.
