ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Midland, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PACU Job Details: • 2 years of experience preferred with all surgeries except cardiac procedures • Experience with pediatrics required and critical care strongly preferred • Must help with coverage in Pre-Op department • Level II trauma experience preferred • Experience required recovering patients from Plastics, Urology, Dental (Adults and Pediatrics), and GYN procedures • Must have experience monitoring patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation and A-lines • Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts • Call required • Minimum of 1 weekend shift per contract required • Must work some holidays • Care for patients of all ages from 8 months to 100 years old • Daily census of 30 patients with 21 beds available • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH • Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions allowed • Cerner charting system experience preferred • Must float between Pre-Op Holding and PACU as needed • On-site drug screen required with comprehensive panel testing • Documents due 3 business days prior to start date Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department with a 21-bed PACU unit that handles a wide variety of surgical procedures for patients of all ages.
