Job Description:
At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we're hiring a highly technical
Data Center Operations Manager to support the backbone of our
services. This role involves leading a significant segment of AWS’s
Data Center operations, providing critical infrastructure support,
and ensuring the highest standards of availability, reliability,
and security. The successful candidate will be responsible for
managing the operations of large-scale data centers, overseeing the
physical security, maintenance, and troubleshooting to optimize
operational excellence. Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple
data centers, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability
across all systems. Manage and develop a team of data center
professionals, including performance evaluation, training, and
hiring. Coordinate the installation, maintenance, and operation of
large-scale data center hardware and infrastructure. Collaborate
with engineering teams on hardware upgrades and troubleshooting to
minimize downtime and manage capacity planning. Develop and
implement data center policies and procedures that comply with
industry standards and regulations. Monitor the performance of
physical infrastructure, conducting regular audits and preparing
for external audits and compliance checks. Lead emergency response
efforts and disaster recovery operations to maintain service
availability and data protection. Strong leadership and managerial
skills Expertise in IT infrastructure, networking, and large-scale
data center management In-depth knowledge of system and network
hardware including servers, storage systems, and HVAC systems
Proficient in using data center management tools (such as DCIM)
Ability to handle stress and perform under pressure Exceptional
